About Nina

Nina Okonkwo is a completion bond specialist and production insurance advisor who has worked with bond guarantors and lenders to structure and manage completion guarantees for 60+ productions across feature, television, and documentary formats. Her background spans both the insurance provider side (understanding underwriting criteria) and the producer side (managing bond relationships during production).

At Zenith Bond Services (2014–2023), Nina was Senior Underwriter and later Head of Production Management, overseeing bond claims management and on-set compliance for high-budget productions. She transitioned to independent consulting in 2024 to help producers understand bond requirements early in financing and structure productions to keep costs in line and maintain lender confidence.

Nina holds a degree in Risk Management from the London School of Economics and is a licensed insurance advisor. She has been a speaker at AFM, MIPTV, and Producer Guild workshops on production risk management and completion bond mechanics.
