Elstree Studios Enters New Era with MBS Group Partnership

BOREHAMWOOD, UK – June 27, 2025 – Elstree Film Studios has initiated its centenary celebrations by announcing a strategic partnership with The MBS Group, a global studio operator. This collaboration aims to preserve the studio’s rich heritage while modernizing operations and integrating innovative practices. This announcement follows recent centenary activities, including a visit from His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh.

Elstree Studios: A Legacy Continues

Elstree Studios, a significant institution in the British film and television industry, has a storied history, having been the production location for films ranging from Hitchcock’s Blackmail, the first British ‘talkie’, to Star Wars, The Shining, and Indiana Jones. As part of its centenary year, the studio has formalized an agreement with The MBS Group, recognized as the world’s largest studio operator, studio leasing, and production equipment provider, to manage and service the iconic studio campus.
