Located at 106th and Park, the studio has been redeveloped to address the evolving requirements of contemporary media production.

Studio Transformation Details

The reimagining of Metropolis Studio responds to current trends in production, including the increased adoption of distributed teams, cloud-based workflows, and multi-platform content delivery. The facility now features 6,400 square feet of unrestricted stage space, positioning it as one of Manhattan’s largest.

Connectivity and Integration

Metropolis Studio is fully integrated into NEP’s 100G fully-redundant backbone network. This connectivity facilitates direct links to NEP’s Dallas-based datacenter and Network Operations Center (NOC), as well as its South Florida production hub. This infrastructure supports real-time collaboration, centralized signal routing, and global content delivery.

Production Capabilities

The studio’s design emphasizes flexibility and scalability, accommodating a diverse range of production types. These include traditional multi-camera studio productions, hybrid models, and remote workflows. The adaptable spaces and advanced infrastructure are configured to support various needs, from remote interviews to complex live broadcasts, catering to both local and global productions.
