Telenor Group has announced the appointment of Jon Omund Revhaug as the Head of Telenor Asia and Sigvart Voss Eriksen as the Head of Telenor Nordics. Both executives are set to begin their roles by the end of April.
According to Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer, President and CEO, “These appointments bring exceptional telecommunications expertise and a strong focus on customer leadership to our key markets. Both executives have extensive experience across various Telenor markets and have shown their capability in building high-performing teams. Their successful track records in fostering winning cultures and enhancing customer satisfaction make them ideal leaders for these vital business segments.”
Both leaders will utilize their diverse experiences from multiple Telenor markets to drive growth and innovation.
“In a time when cybersecurity and scalable technologies are crucial for maintaining connectivity, Sigvart’s expertise will be essential for our Nordic customers. Under his guidance, Telenor Nordics will advance its transformation and operational excellence initiatives to boost market competitiveness and achieve cost efficiencies,” added Schilbred Fasmer.
Sigvart Voss Eriksen is currently the CEO of Omny, a cybersecurity firm owned by Aker and Telenor. He has a rich background in leading customer-focused transformations within Telenor subsidiaries and previously served as CEO of Tapad in the U.S., where he successfully turned the company around before its sale to Experian.
“I am thrilled to return to Telenor and leverage my telecommunications expertise to enhance secure and scalable digital infrastructure. I look forward to collaborating with a talented team to continue delivering reliable services and driving value through innovation and efficiency. Our robust platform has allowed us to achieve significant growth, even as a major player in the Norwegian market,” stated Voss Eriksen.
Jon Omund Revhaug, a Telenor veteran with 24 years of experience, including over 15 years in Asia, is currently the acting Head of Telenor Nordics. Before his return to the Nordics in 2023, Revhaug served as CEO of Telenor Myanmar and led the merger integration between dtac and True in Thailand, in addition to various roles across the Nordics, Central and Eastern Europe, and Asia.
“Jon Omund’s proven leadership across Telenor’s Nordic and Asian markets makes him an invaluable addition to my leadership team. His ability to deliver outstanding results in diverse markets positions him perfectly to drive value in our Asian operations,” Schilbred Fasmer stated.
