New Kids' SVOD HopscotchTV Secures Library from WildBrain and Boat Rocker
HopscotchTV, a new subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service for kids and families, has officially launched in the U.S. The platform has secured content deals with WildBrain and Boat Rocker, focusing on a library of classic animated series from the 1980s and 1990s. The service, founded by Ross Greenberg and Dave Harvilicz under their KidsTV shingle, aims to provide a safe, high-quality viewing experience by tapping into nostalgia.
CONTENT ACQUISITIONS
The service has acquired the rights to approximately 10 animated series from WildBrain, including notable titles such as Inspector Gadget, The Adventures of Paddington Bear, Strawberry Shortcake, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Super Mario World. Additionally, its agreement with Boat Rocker adds classic shows Danger Mouse and The Wind in the Willows to the platform’s initial content lineup.
