VVS Films has announced a refreshed management structure for its Australia and New Zealand operations. Brett Rosengarten has joined the company full-time as Executive Director, while Sinclair Brook has been promoted to Distribution General Manager.
Rosengarten, formerly CEO of Independent Cinemas Australia (ICA), brings over two decades of experience from his time at Roadshow, where he specialized in distribution and market strategy. He previously worked with VVS Films in a non-exclusive role.
Brook became part of VVS at the start of its ANZ expansion in 2023, following a ten-year tenure at Roadshow. He has played a key role in establishing the Canadian distributor’s presence in the region.
In their new positions, Rosengarten and Brook will collaborate closely, engaging with local exhibitors, partners, and filmmakers to further grow VVS Films’ footprint in Australia and New Zealand.
Javi Hernandez, EVP at VVS, expressed confidence in the new leadership, stating, “Brett is an exceptional addition to VVS Films ANZ. We feel fortunate to have the best team to curate and release our commercially driven slate to audiences in Australia and New Zealand.”
The company’s upcoming releases include:
- British spoof-comedy Fackham Hall
- Enid Blyton adaptation The Magic Faraway Tree
- Romantic comedy drama The Drama
- Sundance breakout The Invite, directed by Olivia Wilde, who also stars alongside Seth Rogen, Penelope Cruz, and Edward Norton
