Telestream is set to unveil its innovative Global Ingest Workflow at IBC 2025, integrating live capture and file-based workflows for enhanced media production. This new architecture emphasizes flexibility and efficiency, leveraging AI to streamline metadata generation and improve interoperability across platforms.

Telestream is gearing up to introduce its groundbreaking Global Ingest Workflow at IBC 2025. This next-generation ingest architecture seamlessly combines live capture, camera card ingest, and file-based workflows, all built on the robust Telestream Vantage platform.

This innovative solution prioritizes flexibility, scalability, and efficiency, making it suitable for on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. A key highlight of this strategy is the practical use of artificial intelligence. Rather than producing unstructured “metadata dumps,” the Global Ingest Workflow creates structured, system-aware, and standards-compliant metadata right at the point of capture.

This capability enhances interoperability with various platforms, including Avid, Iconik, and Mimir, while streamlining editorial processes, archive discovery, and distribution. This effectively eliminates workflow bottlenecks.

According to Charlie Dunn, Executive Vice President of Product Management at Telestream, “By standardizing ingest on the Vantage platform, we eliminate the need for proprietary vendors and rigid integrations. This empowers customers to transfer content from any source into any editorial or MAM system with speed and precision. We aim to transform ingest into a strategic advantage instead of a workflow gap.”

Telestream’s scalable ingest functionalities provide technical teams with precision, flexibility, and speed across all formats and operational environments, whether on-premises, hybrid, or cloud-based. This versatility supports a wide range of media operations, from high-performance, real-time ingest for live sports and news to scalable file-based ingest designed for post-production and media supply chains.

Key features of the innovative Global Ingest Workflow include:

  • Vantage Live Capture — A high-performance ingest engine that offers input/output flexibility, supporting protocols like ST 2110, SDI, SRT, NDI, MPEG-TS, and RTMP. It allows centralized ingest from both traditional and IP sources, supporting up to 16 channels in a single rack unit with extensive codec compatibility. Live Capture integrates seamlessly with editorial and MAM systems, including Avid and Adobe.
  • Live Schedule Pro 2.0 — An enterprise-ready scheduling platform that ensures high availability, clustered deployment, automation, and failover capabilities.
  • Camera Card Ingest — This solution enhances user experience with improved metadata extraction, multi-destination workflows, and tight integration within the Vantage system, aiming to expedite turnaround times for editors and support modern content production at scale.
  • Review: Proxyless Player for Distributed Teams — This feature provides a professional-grade playback experience for both live and recorded media, offering real-time 10-bit native playback, scopes, and audio monitoring. The Review tool enables remote collaboration among editors without the need for proxy generation.

Overall, the Global Ingest Workflow from Telestream represents a significant leap forward in media production capabilities, aligning perfectly with the evolving demands of the media landscape.
