Disney has revealed a new making-of featurette for Tron: Ares, the sequel to 2010’s Tron: Legacy, which continues the story of A.I. programs taking over. According to reports, the production “shut down Vancouver for six weeks of live shooting” to capture the Light Cycle sequences.

Directed by Joachim Rønning, the sci-fi film follows Ares, a highly sophisticated Program sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first real encounter with A.I. beings. Greta Lee plays Eve Kim, a tech genius who is analytical and observant, and serves as the human lead. She’s one of the world’s best programmers: reclusive, anti-social, and an important renegade in stopping the rogue programs.

Tron: Ares stars Jared Leto, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Cameron Monaghan, Sarah Desjardins, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges, who returns as Kevin Flynn. The film is scheduled to open in theaters in early October.

The featurette is titled “Tron in the Real World.”
