Sony Pictures Networks India has terminated its $10bn merger agreement with Zee Entertainment Enterprises, citing unmet conditions and disagreements. Despite good-faith discussions to extend the end date, the merger did not close within the 24-month timeline, leading to the termination of the definitive agreement. The merger had aimed to create a media giant with over 90 channels.
