The Saudi Film Commission and the Korean Film Council have forged a strategic alliance aimed at enhancing collaboration within the film industry, fostering cultural exchange, and driving industry growth between Saudi Arabia and South Korea.

Building on a 2019 memorandum of understanding, this agreement seeks to bolster cooperation in production, knowledge-sharing, talent development, and technological innovation. It underscores the commitment of both nations to support filmmakers and create international opportunities for creative professionals.

As part of this collaboration, a series of training and development programs will be launched, featuring workshops, master classes, and mentorship initiatives led by industry experts. These programs will concentrate on essential areas such as production, animation, screenwriting, and directing, empowering filmmakers in both countries to enhance their skills.

Furthermore, the partnership aims to stimulate joint film production, encouraging filmmakers from Saudi Arabia and South Korea to collaborate on developing and co-producing projects. Networking opportunities and industry meetings will be organized at prominent film festivals, including the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia and the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.
