Radial Entertainment, the newly formed global entertainment company managing the FilmRise and Shout! Studios brands, has announced a distribution deal for “Conan,” the Emmy Award-winning series from late-night host and comedian Conan O’Brien.
The deal, announced at MIPCOM, provides Radial Entertainment exclusive SVOD, AVOD, EST, TVOD, CVOD, and Diginet rights in the United States to the series that ran on TBS for 11 years.
Hosted by O’Brien, alongside his longtime sidekick Andy Richter, “Conan” blended O’Brien’s signature humor with celebrity interviews, current events, and pop culture. His guests ranged from Hollywood’s biggest stars to acclaimed musicians, authors, athletes, and political figures. In addition to a regular procession of celebrities from film, TV, and music, “Conan” was known for remote shoots that spanned the globe.
The deal consists of episodes across 11 seasons of the late-night variety show that ran from 2010 to 2021. The show inspired the spinoff series “Conan Without Borders” that currently streams along with “Conan O’Brien Must Go” on HBO Max. “Conan” was produced by longtime executive producer Jeff Ross.
“Conan O’Brien is widely regarded as one of the most original and enduring figures in American comedy,” Jeff Peisch at Radial Entertainment said in a statement. “His influence has shaped modern comedy, and his work continues to resonate with audiences across generations. We are excited to continue his extraordinary late-night legacy by allowing fans to watch his decade-long series on streaming platforms.”
The deal was negotiated by Peisch and Bruce David Eisen of Eisen Law for Radial Entertainment.
