France Télévisions Programming Now Available on Prime Video in France

Paris, France – July 3, 2025 – Prime Video has initiated the distribution of programming from France Télévisions, the French public broadcaster, to its subscribers in France. This agreement allows all Prime members in the country immediate access to nearly 20,000 content titles from France Télévisions’ catalog, including new seasons of popular children’s animated series such as Peppa Pig (Hasbro), Ninjago (WildBrain), and Street Football (Banijay Kids & Family, Monello Productions).

Strategic Content Expansion

The integration of France Télévisions’ content follows a recent development in the French streaming landscape, specifically after Netflix’s carriage deal with TF1 announced on June 18. The new content will be featured in a dedicated section on the Prime Video homepage, providing no additional cost to Prime members.

Both companies possess significant audience reach in France. France Télévisions commands a 29.1% share of the total broadcast audience, with its france.tv streaming service recording 130 million views and 21.4 million unique monthly visitors. Prime Video reported 9.5 million French subscribers in 2024, according to FlixPatrol analytics.

Christophe Deguine, regional MD for Prime Video, stated that adding France Télévisions’ content is a significant step in the platform’s objective to become the country’s “number-one destination for entertainment.” Prime Video’s French service already offers programming and channels from other major media companies, including Max, Paramount+, Universal+, and MGM+, typically at an additional cost.

For France Télévisions, this collaboration serves as a strategic avenue to broaden the reach of its content. Delphine Ernotte Cunci, president and CEO of France Télévisions, remarked, “With this new distribution method, our group is taking a historic step to strengthen the visibility of its public service offering, and thus allow all audiences to rediscover and discover the unique richness of france.tv in new environments.”
