Budget-friendly streaming pay TV provider Philo is following suit with other services by including more SVODs in its packages. Recently, Philo expanded its paid ‘Core’ package to offer access to the ad-supported versions of HBO Max and discovery+ through a new partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery.

Existing Philo Core plan subscribers will now receive both streaming services at their current rate of $28 per month for the first month, increasing to $33 per month thereafter. New subscribers will start at $33 per month, or $38 if billed through third-party platforms.

The Core package includes over 70 cable channels, 110 FAST channels, one-year DVR, content from AMC+, and now ad-supported access to HBO Max and discovery+. Legacy-billed plans can keep their current price but won’t include the premium SVOD services.
