Paramount+ to Remove Iconic Nickelodeon Shows

According to a report from Deadline, several beloved animated Nickelodeon series, including Doug, My Life As a Teenage Robot, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, and The Penguins of Madagascar, will be leaving Paramount+ this month.

Doug, created by Jim Jinkins, originally aired on Nickelodeon from August 1991 to January 1994. It was part of the early wave of “Nicktoons,” alongside popular shows like Rugrats, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rocko’s Modern Life, and Aaaahh!! Real Monsters, which significantly contributed to establishing the network’s identity.

This trend of removing older titles is not unique to Paramount+: Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, The Thundermans, and Drake & Josh are scheduled to exit Hulu on January 1. Additionally, a Reddit post indicates that Teen Titans, Teen Titans Go!, Static Shock, and Green Lantern will also be leaving Max on December 31. Disney+ has recently removed Hailey’s On It, while several Cartoon Network shows, including The Amazing World of Gumball, Ben 10, Chowder, The Powerpuff Girls, Steven Universe, and The Bare Bears, have transitioned from Max to other streaming services like Hulu and Netflix.
