Official Trailer for ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Animated Movie on Netflix

“You think we’re just going to let you steal our fans? You’re going to have to fight us for that!” Netflix has unveiled the highly anticipated official trailer for the animated film KPop Demon Hunters, set to premiere on Netflix this June. “MIRA! RUMI! ZOEY!” The KPop Demon Hunters are ready to shine. This project has been in development for four years, initially starting at Sony Pictures Animation in 2021. When they aren’t captivating audiences in sold-out stadiums, Kpop superstars Rumi, Mira, and Zoey transform into fierce demon hunters, safeguarding their fans from a looming supernatural menace. Together, they face their most formidable adversary yet – a rival boy band of demons masquerading as humans. The film features the voices of Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, May Hong, Ji-young Yoo, Yunjin Kim, Joel Kim Booster, Liza Koshy, alongside Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, and Byung Hun Lee. The soundtrack boasts original songs from talented artists including EJAE, Audrey Nuna, REI AMI, Andrew Choi, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo, samUIL Lee, Neckwav, and Lea Salonga, with a special track by Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung of TWICE. This promises to be a dazzling musical experience.

Together, they must confront their greatest challenge yet – a captivating rival boy band of demons in disguise. KPop Demon Hunters is co-directed by the talented duo Maggie Kang (known for her work as a story artist on The Grinch and Minions: The Rise of Gru) and Chris Appelhans (director of Wish Dragon), marking their first feature film collaboration after numerous successful projects. The screenplay is crafted by Danya Jimenez, Hannah McMechan, Maggie Kang, and Chris Appelhans, based on a story by Maggie Kang. Produced by Michelle L.M. Wong and brought to life by Sony Pictures Imageworks, the film features an original score by Marcelo Zarvos. KPop Demon Hunters will be available for streaming on Netflix worldwide starting on June 20th, 2025.
