Paris Hilton is launching a new animated series called ‘Paris Pups,’ inspired by her life. The show features a girl named Paris Star and her dogs, and it premieres today on YouTube.

Businesswoman and entertainment figure Paris Hilton is entering the realm of family animation by executive producing a new series inspired by her life. Paris Pups follows a girl named Paris Star, who lives in a luxurious hotel with her beloved dogs. The series premieres today on YouTube.

Sadaf Muncy, Senior Vice President of Development and Production at HappyNest Entertainment, shares insights about the show in a recent interview.

Jackson Murphy: How did you get involved with Paris Hilton in creating this series?
Sadaf Muncy: I have always been a fan of Paris Hilton and her dogs. I followed their interactions on social media and was inspired. When I joined HappyNest, I looked through our client list and pitched the idea of an animated series about a girl and her pups inspired by Paris. Her team was very receptive, and we collaborated closely to develop the series.

JM: What was it like to create the personalities of Star’s dogs?
SM: It was a lot of fun. We researched her pets throughout her life, focusing on those that were part of her daily routine. We designed personalities that mirrored her real-life dogs and reflected Paris’s traits, such as her love for music, adventure, and creativity. We also created a character that represents traits of ADHD, working with Understood.org to ensure authenticity.

JM: What is the significance of the charms the pups receive?
SM: The Puppy Charms symbolize Paris Star’s pride when her pups achieve something or show kindness. At the end of each episode, she gives a charm from her bracelet to one or more pups to hang on their collars. This models appreciation and encourages viewers to share their own Puppy Charms with pets and friends.

JM: What were your goals in creating the hotel’s positive environment?
SM: A hotel offers many storytelling opportunities. From Paris Star’s “Starkle Space” for crafting to the “Paw Spa” for pampering her pups, we designed a fun and inviting setting. The hotel welcomes diverse characters, including Amisha, who becomes Star’s best friend.

JM: How important is music to the show?
SM: Music is essential. Paris Star is a DJ who loves creating music, and one of her pups, Bijou, shares this passion. We even have a theme song sung by Paris Hilton.

JM: Why did you decide on episodes being five to six minutes long?
SM: I have experience creating short-form content and have seen how kids respond to engaging stories in shorter formats. We wanted to make the show accessible on YouTube, with 36 five-minute episodes and two 10-minute holiday specials, allowing for concise storytelling.

JM: Who are some of your favorite animated pups?
SM: I love Dug from the movie Up for his heart and loyalty, as well as Goofy and Bandit from Bluey.

JM: In one episode, Star seeks inspiration from her surroundings. What inspired you while making Paris Pups?
SM: I am inspired by the bond between Star and her pups, as well as their kindness and perseverance. My own dogs bring joy to my family, and Paris Hilton inspires me with her advocacy work and business acumen, motivating me to create a world that models kindness and integrity for our audience.
