Garden Studios Opens Four New Sound Stages

Garden Studios today announces the significant expansion of its campus with the addition of four new state-of-the-art sound stages, effectively doubling its sound stage capacity to eight stages. The expanded facilities now include 98,000 sq ft of stage space, 90,000 sq ft of warehouse storage, 40,000 sq ft of production offices, and two large unit base lots each exceeding 30,000 sq ft. This expansion positions Garden Studios as the largest film and television production campus in central London.

Expanding Versatility and Capacity

The newly unveiled sound stages—Rose (15,207 sq ft), Orchid 1 (15,026 sq ft), Orchid 2 (12,863 sq ft), and Orchid 3 (7,187 sq ft)—enhance Garden Studios’ ability to accommodate multiple high-end television (HETV) productions and independent feature films simultaneously. Each sound stage is supported by comprehensive workshops, production offices, and ample parking. The facility’s proximity to central London and offering of medium-sized stages differentiates it from other large campuses located further afield.

Rapid Growth Attracting Major Productions

Since opening in early 2021, Garden Studios has hosted a diverse array of projects, from limited set builds for major films such as “Argylle” and “Wonka” to fully-housed productions including Amazon’s “My Lady Jane,” Canal+’s “We Live in Time,” and ITV’s relaunch of “Big Brother.” Garden Studios continues to attract industry-leading clients across feature films, high-end TV, entertainment, independent projects, and streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Studios, Apple Studios, BBC Studios, Canal+, Initial TV, and Working Title.

Bee Devine, Chief Operating Officer, said: “Garden’s rapid growth over the past six months is testament to our commitment to versatility, flexibility, outstanding client service, and sustainability. Our expanded facilities allow us to meet the increasing demands of diverse productions, providing unparalleled options for innovation, particularly through our permanent virtual production stage.”

Rose Campus Launching in March 2025

The Rose Campus will officially begin operations in March 2025, featuring canal-side views from offices and talent rooms, along with two galleries ideal for entertainment show productions. The Orchid stages are set to host a major high-end TV drama production beginning in late summer 2025, continuing through 2026.

Permanent Virtual Production Wall Expanded

Garden Studios remains unique in London, featuring the city’s only standing, permanent LED wall dedicated to virtual production (VP). The virtual production wall has recently expanded to an impressive 20 meters wide and 5 meters tall, perfectly suited to a wide variety of shoots, particularly car sequences.

Garden Studios has successfully completed 120 virtual productions to date, encompassing commercials, music videos, promotional materials, high-end television projects, and films.
