In a remarkable achievement for the animation industry, Gints Zilbalodis’s critically acclaimed feature Flow has just secured the prestigious César (French Oscar) for Best Animated Feature in France. This standout film outperformed notable contenders, including Michel Hazanavicius’s Holocaust-themed drama The Most Precious of Cargoes and Claude Barras’ Savages, all of which were also in the running at last year’s Annecy festival.

This Sunday, Flow and its beloved animated cat, along with his friends, will face their ultimate challenge as they vie for the Best Animated Feature award against heavyweights like Inside Out 2, Memoir of a Snail, Wallace and Gromit: Revenge Most Fowl, and The Wild Robot.
