First Trailer for ‘IT: Welcome to Derry’ Spin-Off Horror Series on HBO

“Return to the origins of terror…” HBO Max has just released the teaser trailer for IT: Welcome to Derry, an exciting new horror spin-off series inspired by the acclaimed IT films from 2017 and 2019. After years of development, this series is set to premiere in late 2025. While HBO has yet to confirm an exact release date, they have indicated that the rebranding of Max back to HBO Max will occur this summer, with the series launching in the fall. This prequel dives into the 1960s, exploring the backstory of Pennywise the Clown before the events of the first film. Directed by Andy Muschietti, who helmed the original films, the series is co-developed with his sister, Barbara Muschietti. IT: Welcome to Derry boasts a talented cast including Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Bill Skarsgård reprising his role as Pennywise.
