Hulu has unveiled the final trailer for ‘Swiped,’ featuring Lily James as Whitney Wolfe, the visionary behind Bumble. This film, premiering at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival, celebrates Wolfe’s journey in the tech industry and her rise to becoming a self-made billionaire.

Hulu has just released the final official trailer for the highly anticipated film Swiped, featuring Lily James in the role of Whitney Wolfe. This film tells a compelling story of triumph in the tech world, encouraging viewers to “Fight for what you’ve built!” and never let anyone bring you down.

Directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg, Swiped will premiere at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival this week and will be available for streaming on Hulu later in September. Unlike typical cautionary tales, this film celebrates the journey of success against the odds.

Swiped draws inspiration from the real-life story of Whitney Wolfe Herd, the founder and former CEO of the dating app Bumble. After her departure from Tinder, Wolfe created a platform where women initiate conversations with their matches, revolutionizing the dating scene.

In addition to Lily James, the film features a talented cast including Clea DuVall, Dermot Mulroney, Pierson Fode, Joely Fisher, Myha’la, and Dan Stevens, who portrays Andrey Andreev, the founder of Badoo and a key investor in Bumble.

While some may question the positive spin on this corporate tech narrative, Swiped aims to inspire. The film showcases Wolfe’s journey as she disrupts the industry and builds an empire, ultimately becoming the youngest self-made female billionaire.

Directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg, known for her work on Valley Girl and Unpregnant, the screenplay is co-written by Bill Parker, Rachel Lee Goldenberg, and Kim Caramele. The film is produced by Lily James, Jennifer Gibgot, and Andrew Panay.

Mark your calendars! Swiped will be available for streaming on Hulu and Disney+ starting September 19, 2025. Don’t miss out on this inspiring story!
