Featuring new narratives and familiar character designs, the series celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the Dragon Ball franchise created by Akira Toriyama, with animation by Toei Animation.

The first three dubbed episodes had a special theatrical release from November 10 to 12 in over 1,000 theaters across the U.S. and Canada. The English dub episodes will be released weekly, starting with Episode 1: “Conspiracy” on January 10, 2025. About Dragon Ball DAIMA

In Dragon Ball DAIMA, Goku and his friends experience a sudden shrinkage. As they investigate the cause, they suspect it may be linked to a mysterious realm known as the “Demon Realm,” where they encounter a young Majin named Glorio. The series is directed by Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki, with script by Yuko Kakihara and character design by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru. The opening theme, “Jaka Jaan,” is composed by Grammy winner Zedd with vocals by the duo C&K, while the lyrics are penned by Yukinojo Mori, known for his work on previous Dragon Ball themes. The ending song “NAKAMA” features Zedd and AI.

The English dub production team includes Jonathan Rigg as ADR Director and Samantha Herek as ADR Producer. The voice cast includes Sean Schemmel as Goku and Christopher R. Sabat as Vegeta, among others. Additional mini roles are voiced by various actors, adding depth to the cast.

In related news, Crunchyroll and Kodansha have announced the release date for the BLUE LOCK Season 2 finale, which will premiere on December 28 with two episodes back-to-back at 9:00 AM PT and 12:00 PM ET. The series, produced by Studio 8bit, features direction from Yuji Haibara and character designs by Kenji Tanabe.

About BLUE LOCK

In the quest for World Cup victory, the Japanese Football Association initiates Blue Lock, a rigorous training program to discover the next member of the national team. Out of 300 high school players, only one will secure a spot, and with just 35 players remaining, the program faces elimination from Japan’s U-20 National Team. Competitors must put aside their egos and collaborate to achieve their shared goal.
