Bomanbridge Media has finalized several international sales for its new wildlife documentary series, The Secret World of Snakes.

This three-part series is a co-production between Bomanbridge Media, Lion Mountain Media from South Africa, and China Media Group. The show is set to premiere in China on CMG’s CCTV 9 in early 2026.

National Geographic has acquired the series for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), while Discovery Asia will broadcast it across Asia. The series is timed to coincide with the Year of the Snake in 2025, offering viewers a closer look at the hidden lives of snakes.

Filming took place in diverse locations around the world, including Africa, America, Australia, and Asia. The production team also gained rare access to Shedao (Snake Island) in China, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its population of nearly 20,000 pit vipers.

Carl Hall, chief creative officer, highlighted the global appeal of snakes, noting their adaptability and status as top predators. He emphasized that China’s wide variety of snake species, including some of the most venomous, made China Media Group an ideal partner. The upcoming conclusion of the Chinese Year of the Snake in February 2026 helped drive strong interest from major broadcasters.

Sonia Fleck, CEO of Bomanbridge Media, stated that this project supports the company’s strategy to expand its original co-production portfolio. She expressed a commitment to building strong partnerships with leading broadcasters and producers, aiming to offer unique factual content not commonly found elsewhere. Fleck added that Bomanbridge seeks to become a distinctive voice among established factual content providers.
