BBC Studios has taken a minority stake in U.K.-based Samphire Films, founded by Sophie Leonard and David Hodgkinson. Specializing in premium documentary and factual formats, Samphire is producing large-scale projects for U.K. and U.S. buyers. BBC Studios now has a first-look deal for global distribution and format rights.
