Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has elevated Mike Wald and Jason Spivak to the position of co-presidents of distribution and networks. Together, they will manage the studio’s television and home entertainment distribution efforts, continuing to report to Keith Le Goy, who has recently taken on the role of SPT Chairman.

In their roles, Wald and Spivak will jointly oversee the studio’s integrated television and home entertainment distribution operations, which encompass key functions such as post-theatrical film distribution, global television content distribution, multi-channel marketing, and international cable networks across Latin America and Europe.

Wald, who previously served as EVP of International Distribution and Content Strategy, has spearheaded Sony’s distribution initiatives across free TV, cable, pay TV, and streaming platforms worldwide. His experience includes leadership roles in London, where he managed markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as in Hong Kong, focusing on emerging Asian markets.

Spivak has been pivotal in shaping Sony’s North American distribution strategy and has played a significant role in developing the studio’s home entertainment business. He was instrumental in securing Sony’s landmark Pay-1 distribution agreement with Netflix and has previously led global digital distribution efforts.

SPT boasts an extensive catalogue of beloved series and films, including Seinfeld, Breaking Bad, Outlander, The Nanny, and Shark Tank, along with major films such as Anyone But You, Jumanji, Spider-Man, and Venom.
