The Golden Globes after-parties are entering a new phase. The days of exuberant fraternity and sorority-like celebrations, where Paris Hilton would be pursued by a swarm of paparazzi in the Beverly Hilton lobby, are behind us, as studios no longer dominate every corner of the venue.

Do you recall the 20th Century Fox watch party? After receiving their luxurious goodie bags, guests would scatter in all directions, eventually converging at the HBO poolside gathering. In the mix, you could spot host Ricky Gervais at the Netflix celebration.

A silver lining from the Covid era is that the festivities continue; however, you may need to use Uber to get there. Instead of all major studios hosting events in one night at a single location, the Golden Globe celebrations are now spread out over the week and weekend. Amazon/Vanity Fair will take the lead at Bar Marmont, while Paramount will host at Cipriani Beverly Hills on Saturday. The celebrations will extend into Sunday with Netflix, Universal, and UTA hosting their own events post-ceremony.
