The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) has revealed its newly elected board officers and regional governors, who will begin their terms this month.
Serving two-year terms from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028, the following officers have been elected:
- Chris Lapp – Membership Vice President
- Troy English – Finance Vice President
- Raymond Yeung – Standards Vice President (re-elected for another term)
SMPTE Executive Director Sally-Ann D’Amato expressed appreciation for the dedication of the new officers, stating, “SMPTE is an organization built on the generosity of its members. These officers have gone above and beyond for the Society. That’s why the membership trusts them with this important responsibility, and they are prepared to tackle it head-on. - Paul Whybrow, Varda Creative Leadership – Asia-Pacific Region Governor (newly elected)
- Andre Normil, FanDuel Sports Network – USA Southern Region Governor (newly elected)
- Catherine Meininger, Portrait Displays – USA Western Region Governor (newly elected)
