Disney and ITV Announce Strategic Streaming Content Partnership

Landmark Collaboration: Disney+ and ITVX to Feature Shared Content in the UK

LONDON, U.K. (July 10, 2025) – The Walt Disney Company and ITV today announced a pioneering streaming content partnership to cross-promote a selection of their streaming content. This initiative, branded “A Taste of ITVX” and “A Taste of Disney+” respectively, aims to broaden audience reach for both Disney+ and ITVX within the United Kingdom. The agreement, effective July 16, marks a new phase in the long-standing collaboration between the two prominent entertainment organizations.

 

Details of the Content Exchange

 

Beginning July 16, a curated and regularly refreshed selection of hit series and films from both Disney+ and ITVX will be accessible on each other’s platforms. This collaboration is designed to expose the world-class content of both ITV and Disney to complementary audiences, thereby extending viewer access and encouraging discovery of both streaming services.

Disney+ subscribers in the UK will gain access to acclaimed scripted and unscripted content from ITV. This includes the multi-award-winning drama “Mr Bates vs The Post Office,” the espionage thriller “Spy Among Friends,” selected seasons of the reality series “Love Island,” popular dramas such as “Endeavour,” “Vera,” and the first series of “Karen Pirie” (coinciding with its second series premiere on ITVX). Additionally, Olivia Attwood’s immersive series “Price of Perfection” and the multi-generational entertainment show “The 1% Club” will be available. “A Taste of ITVX” will be offered to all Disney+ customers at no additional cost.

Concurrently, ITVX viewers will be able to stream a rotating selection of Disney+ titles under the banner “A Taste of Disney+.” This selection will be regularly updated to showcase the breadth of Disney’s global storytelling. Initial offerings are set to include critically acclaimed and award-winning titles such as the first seasons of FX’s “The Bear,” Lucasfilm’s “Andor,” and “Only Murders in the Building.” Selected reality series, including “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” and “The Kardashians,” alongside family favorites like “Lilo and Stitch: The Series” and “Phineas and Ferb,” will also be featured. “A Taste of Disney+” will be available to all ITVX viewers at no cost, with an ad-free option for ITVX Premium subscribers.

Building on Existing Relationships

 

This agreement further solidifies the evolving relationship between Disney and ITV. ITV currently serves as the free-to-air home for Disney+’s “Renegade Nell” and the upcoming “Under the Bridge.” Furthermore, ITV Studios is the production company behind several successful Disney+ shows, including “Rivals” (Happy Prince), “Suspect: The Shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes” (Etta Pictures in association with KDJ Productions), and the revival of the UK dating series “Blind Date” (So TV & Stellify Media).

ITVX is available for free in the UK, supported by advertising. ITV Commercial will manage advertising sales for “A Taste of Disney+” on ITVX as part of its standard audience delivery. ITVX Premium provides an ad-free viewing experience.

Disney+ offers three subscription plans in the United Kingdom, including Disney+ Standard with Ads. Disney will handle advertising sales for “A Taste of ITVX” on the Disney+ Standard with Ads plan.
