LOGLINE – A shipping tycoon’s fortunes crash down to earth on the loss of his flagship in 1909 in unbelievable circumstances. A Court of Enquiry into the loss tried to determine if blame, negligence should be apportioned or was it simply an unpredictable act of Mother Nature. His rags to riches story encapsulates personal tragedy, business rejection by London’s shipping elite until he became a force to be reckoned with.

Sabotage by competitors could not be ruled out. From Denmark to UK onto Australia and South Africa the adventure, trials and tribulations in building up a shipping fleet against all odds inspires. But how will it end. Docudrama explores our protagonist’s life story leaving us wondering………..the search for the ship continues………..

LOGLINE – A successful Edwardian shipping tycoon leads the world in shipping between UK and Australia built around first class accommodation and RITZ standard service. His life comes to an emotional and tragic halt by complete and yet unfound loss of his flagship THE WARATAH on which many of Australia’s leading society were travelling.

Personal tragedy overwhelms him with the loss of his first wife and children. The contractual nature of deal with shipyard building the Waratah triggered fierce debate and accountability over the ship’s seaworthy characteristics. A Court of Enquiry has to determine who was responsible, hubris before nemesis. Spectacular ocean scenes, period pieces, romance and dramatic locations capture the audience’s imagination who become totally spellbound over this rags to riches story.

STORY LINE- When a shipping line’s flagship goes missing without trace, questions are asked over who, if anyone, was responsible. A pressure cooker exchange of views between ship owner and ship builder over ship stability raise the stakes. Into this cauldron of doubt lie the foundations of this gripping adventure. The combination of ambition, risk, love and capital combine into a toxic and totally enthralling tale which sweeps the audience along, so they can make their own determination as the evolving tragedy unfolds.
