UAE Premiere of ‘Restart’

Last night, Vox Cinemas, the leading cinema exhibitor in the Middle East, rolled out the red carpet for the highly anticipated UAE premiere of Restart at its flagship location in Mall of the Emirates. The event attracted a vibrant crowd of over 500 attendees, including influential media personalities and social media stars. Notable appearances were made by the film’s leading actors, Tamer Hosny, Bassem Samra, and Mohamed Tharwat, alongside director Sara Wafiq.

A Cultural Milestone

This premiere signifies a significant cultural moment as we approach the film’s official release on May 29 across Vox Cinemas in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, and Lebanon. Produced by Tamer Hosny’s TH Production and helmed by director Sara Wafiq, Restart narrates the journey of Mohamed, a modest phone technician portrayed by Hosny, and his fiancée Afaf, played by Hana El Zahed, who aspires to become a social media sensation. As they pursue fame with the assistance of their families and a notorious agent known as “the Joker,” the couple soon finds themselves straying from their fundamental values. The film delves into themes of love, ambition, and the cost of success, ultimately challenging Mohamed to repair fractured relationships and win back the heart of the woman he loves.
