Shout! Studios Secures North American Distribution Rights for Into The Wonderwoods

Shout! Studios has successfully acquired the North American distribution rights to the captivating animated feature Into The Wonderwoods (Angelo dans la forêt mystérieuse).

A Visionary Team Behind the Film

This French-language animated fantasy is helmed by Vincent Paronnaud, co-director of the acclaimed Persepolis (2007), which received both a Cannes jury prize and an Oscar nomination, alongside Alexis Ducord, co-director of the César-nominated monster comedy Zombillenium (2017). Their combined expertise promises a unique cinematic experience.

Festival Circuit Success

Wonderwoods has already made waves at prestigious events like the 2024 Cannes and Annecy film festivals, and has seen releases in key markets including France, Russia, Estonia, and Ukraine. The narrative, inspired by a graphic novel from Paronnaud’s pseudonym ‘Winshluss,’ follows an imaginative 10-year-old who, while visiting his grandmother, becomes lost and stumbles upon a magical forest filled with giant ogres, animated plants, menacing robots, and a rebellious wood-sprite.
