Today, Sky Original Film unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming animated musical feature, The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland. The movie blends the Christmas charm of A Visit from St. Nicholas with the whimsical world of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland. The film features the voices of Gerard Butler as St. Nick, Emilia Clarke as The Queen of Hearts, and Simone Ashley as Alice in Wonderland. It is directed by Peter Baynton, an Oscar- and BAFTA Award winner known for The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse.

Based on the popular book by Carys Bexington and Kate Hindley, The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland is produced by Lupus Films and will be available for streaming in the U.S. on Prime Video and Hulu starting November 15. Sky Original Film will premiere the movie on the Sky Cinema platform in the U.K. on December 13, with distribution handled by Universal Pictures Content Group.

Julia Stuart, Director of Original Film at Sky, expressed excitement about bringing this enchanting fairy-tale mash-up to audiences in time for Christmas, praising the star-studded voice cast, charming animation, and catchy original music. Families are sure to enjoy this animated adaptation of Carys and Kate’s beloved illustrated book.

Synopsis: St. Nick receives a belated letter from the Princess of Hearts on Christmas Eve. He embarks on a journey to Wonderland with his reindeer team, only to face the cold-hearted Queen of Hearts who despises Christmas, especially gifts. With the help of Alice, the Mad Hatter, and March Hare, can St. Nick show the Queen the true spirit of Christmas and save the day in time?

Baynton marks his feature film directorial debut with The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland, featuring a screenplay by Sara Daddy written entirely in rhyming couplets. The film includes original music and songs by Guy Chambers, a long-time collaborator of Robbie Williams, and Grammy Award-winning songwriter Amy Wadge.

Ruth Fielding and Camilla Deakin of Lupus Films serve as producers, with executive producers including Helen Parker of Universal Pictures Content Group, Gerard Butler and Alan Siegel of G-BASE Productions, and Emilia Clarke of Magical Thinking Pictures.
