Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) Renews Luis Campos’ Contract

Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), a prominent player in the realms of sports, entertainment, arts, and culture investments, has extended Luis Campos’ contract as Sports Advisor. Initially joining QSI in June 2022 for a three-year term, Campos will now continue in his pivotal role until 2030.

Expanding Responsibilities

In this enhanced role, Campos will direct QSI’s comprehensive sports strategy, maintaining his responsibilities with Paris Saint-Germain’s men’s football operations and advising the Portuguese club SC Braga, where QSI holds a minority stake. He will also focus on discovering new multi-club football ventures and other promising sports and talent assets to enrich QSI’s expanding portfolio, while continuing to oversee scouting, recruitment, and talent development across the organization.

Achievements Under Campos’ Leadership

Since joining QSI, Campos has been crucial in realizing the vision of QSI Chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. Under his leadership, Paris Saint-Germain has celebrated significant sporting achievements, including three French Ligue 1 titles, one Coupe de France, three Trophée des Champions titles, and notable runs in the UEFA Champions League, making it one of the most successful European clubs in recent years. SC Braga has also experienced positive outcomes both domestically and in European competitions.

Broader Impact on Youth Development

Campos’ influence extends beyond elite competition; he has played a vital role in QSI’s broader expansion and investment strategies while nurturing youth talent. PSG’s Academy, now thriving at its state-of-the-art Campus in Poissy, is cultivating a new generation of exceptional players, as evidenced by the club fielding a record six academy-trained players in a recent Ligue 1 match against Montpellier. Similarly, SC Braga has emerged as one of the leading youth academies in football.
