Pixar’s ‘Win or Lose’ Softball Team Anthology Series on D+ Full Trailer

“Regardless of the outcome, you are all champions!” Get ready for some softball action! ⚾ Pixar has released the complete official trailer for their upcoming streaming series titled Win or Lose, which has been in the works for several years. This original animated series from Pixar Animation Studios will be available for streaming on Disney+ starting this February, having been postponed from its initial December release. The series revolves around the interconnected narratives of eight distinct characters as they gear up for their significant championship softball match. Their team is called the Pickles. 🥒 This intriguing series, inspired by Inside Out, offers a glimpse into the experiences of each character—ranging from insecure kids and their overprotective parents to a lovesick umpire—through humorously emotional and uniquely animated perspectives. Will Forte lends his voice to the coach, while the cast features Izaac Wang (from Didi!), Ian Chen, Jo Firestone, Milan, and Josh Thomson. Although it’s disappointing that a trans storyline was removed from the series—something that should have been included—the overall presentation looks fantastic! The personal stories appear genuine, and I am eager to watch every episode.

Win or Lose follows a co-ed middle school softball team known as the Pickles during the week leading up to their championship game. Each 20-minute episode presents the same events from the perspective of a different team member, including players, their parents, and the umpire, with two particular stories highlighted. Win or Lose is a new series created and produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Disney+. The series is developed, written, and showrun by filmmakers Carrie Hobson (story artist on Toy Story 4) and Michael Yates (The Legend of the Flying Tomato short film), and produced by David Lally (of Pixar’s SparkShots series). The music is composed by Ramin Djawadi. Executive producers include Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton, Lindsey Collins, Carrie Hobson, Michael Yates, and David Lally. Disney will launch Pixar’s Win or Lose series on Disney+ starting February 19th, 2025. Who’s excited for this?
