The studio behind “Last of Us,” Naughty Dog, has announced its upcoming game for PlayStation, titled “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.”
The game’s trailer was revealed during the 2024 Game Awards on Thursday and was highlighted as the final major announcement of the event, just before the Game of the Year award presentation.
Naughty Dog disclosed that Tati Gabrielle will voice the main character, Jordan, with more casting information to be announced later. The game’s score will be composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Following the in-person reveal at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckman shared in a PlayStation blog post: “We’re back! You’ve been eager to find out what’s next for us, and I’m excited to finally announce: Naughty Dog’s next game is Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which is currently under development for the PlayStation 5. We’ve been crafting this new adventure since 2020! This game is evolving into our most imaginative and adventurous story yet.”
He further explained: “Intergalactic features our latest protagonist, Jordan A. Mun, a perilous bounty hunter who finds herself stranded on Sempiria – a remote planet that lost contact with the outside universe centuries ago. In fact, anyone who attempted to uncover its enigmatic history has mysteriously vanished. Jordan must utilize all her skills and cleverness if she hopes to be the first person in over 600 years to escape its gravitational pull.”
