Hala Badri, the Director General of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), attended the fourth edition of the Al Marmoom: Film in the Desert Festival, which took place at the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve. This festival, organized by Dubai Culture, is designed to promote the local film industry and provide a platform for both established and emerging filmmakers to showcase their work to audiences. During her visit, Badri toured the festival grounds, viewing murals and installations by artists Ghaleb Hawila, Abdulla Lutfi, and Mikhail Antykov, as well as AI-driven art exhibits. She also explored pavilions hosting workshops and activities tailored for filmmakers, families, and children, highlighting the event’s inclusive programming.

Badri engaged with filmmakers, directors, and participants, commending the variety of productions and their role in enriching Dubai’s vibrant art scene. She reiterated Dubai Culture’s mission to cultivate talent, encourage creative innovation, and establish Dubai as a global cultural hub.

The festival features performances by notable artists such as Saif Al Ali, Alya Alshamsi, Jaber Al Maazmi, Naser Amir, Humaid Al Aleeli, and Mariam Al Shamsi, providing live music that celebrates the nation’s heritage.
