2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards Highlights

Last night’s 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards, hosted by David Tennant at The Royal Festival Hall in London, celebrated remarkable achievements in the film industry. Notably, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, directed by Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham, and Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two emerged as significant winners. The Aardman and Netflix collaboration clinched awards for Best Animated Film and Best Children’s & Family Film, while the Warner Bros. sequel secured victories in Best Special Visual Effects and Best Sound.

Additionally, Nina Gantz’s stop-motion dark comedy short, Wander to Wonder, was honored with the Best British Short Animation award. Jon M. Chu’s musical adventure, Wicked, also shone brightly, winning awards for Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.

Both Dune: Part Two and Wicked garnered an impressive seven nominations each, showcasing their strong presence in this year’s awards.
