Netflix has officially announced the premiere of the second season of Mo, a comedy series crafted by Palestinian-American comedian Mohammed Amer and Ramy Youssef, set to debut on January 30.

The newly released trailer showcases the show’s unique blend of humor and poignant storytelling as Mo Najjar, portrayed by Amer, grapples with life as a Palestinian refugee in the United States. The first season depicted Mo and his family anxiously awaiting the verdict of their asylum case in Houston.

In the upcoming season, Mo finds himself stuck in Mexico for six months, unable to return to the U.S. due to documentation issues. Despite facing threats of deportation and personal challenges—including discovering that his girlfriend Maria (Teresa Ruiz) has moved on—he remains resolute in his quest to reunite with his family before their critical asylum hearing. Along the way, he encounters new hurdles, including a rival who jeopardizes both his relationship with Maria and his cherished falafel taco recipe.

Returning cast members include Farah Bsieso as Yusra, Mo’s mother, and Omar Elba as his brother Sameer. The new season will also feature guest appearances from Hannibal Buress, Liza Koshy, Matt Rife, Ralph Barbosa, and Slim Thug.
