DreamWorks Animation’s proprietary production renderer, MoonRay, has received an update that includes support for the VFX Reference Platform and Rocky Linux 9. MoonRay, a ray tracing renderer used in animated features like “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” was open-sourced last year along with Arras, its distributed rendering framework.
