Carol Lombardini Steps Down as AMPTP President

Carol Lombardini, who has served as the president of the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers (AMPTP) since 2009, is resigning from her position. After 15 years at the helm of the studio and streaming representative organization, she will transition to an advisory role. An AMPTP spokesperson announced on Thursday that Lombardini has planned her retirement for 2025.

The WGA strike began in May 2023 and lasted 148 days, while the actors’ guild strike continued for 118 days, ultimately leading both unions to secure three-year agreements.

Lombardini has been with the AMPTP since its inception in 1982, assuming the presidency soon after the 2007-2008 WGA strike.
