Sacramento-based Capital Pictures (Buyer) has acquired screen rights to Jaden Payne’s novel, ‘There Are 3 Women, 4 Men,’ from the author (Seller) in a competitive deal. This rights acquisition marks a significant content investment for the studio house.
The adaptation is slated to commence principal photography in late Q2 2026, aiming for a 2027 premiere. Filmmaker Jane Smith is attached to direct, with showrunner John Doe set to executive produce the series, which is set against a 1967 mystery.
Premium streaming platform GlobalStream Channel is reportedly negotiating an exclusive global distribution deal, expected to include a multi-season commitment. This partnership is set to inject fresh, upscale content into the global supply chain (USA).
