Dorota Eberhardt Appointed CEO of Kino Świat by Canal+ and STUDIOCANAL

Canal+, a global media and entertainment company, and STUDIOCANAL, its in-house European film and series studio, have appointed Dorota Eberhardt as the new Chief Executive Officer of Kino Świat, one of Poland’s leading film distribution companies.


Appointment Details

Eberhardt will officially assume the CEO role later this year and will report to Alex Hamilton, Chief International Officer at STUDIOCANAL. In her leadership role, she will drive both distribution and production strategies for high‑quality Polish films with international appeal and maintain Kino Świat’s reputation as a reliable market partner.

Edyta Sadowska, CEO of Canal+ Polska, stated that appointing Eberhardt marks a key milestone in Kino Świat’s growth. She praised Eberhardt’s deep industry insight and expressed confidence in her ability to boost distribution strength and production expansion.

Alex Hamilton, STUDIOCANAL’s International Officer, welcomed Eberhardt and confirmed support for her mission to adapt distribution strategies to evolving viewer tastes and expand the strong in‑house team.

Professional Background

Eberhardt most recently served as Vice President of Programming, Streaming & New Channels at Warner Bros. Discovery TVN. There, she led content strategy, production, and operations, managing a team of over 50 and helping launch Poland’s first 20 FAST channels on Player. Her two-decade career spans roles at CD Projekt and Forum Film Poland (Disney distributor). She holds master’s degrees in Economics and Film Production, with additional training in business psychology and AI management.
