Rajkummar Rao continues to showcase his versatility and box office appeal. His latest film, Bhool Chuk Maaf, co-starring Wamiqa Gabbi, has resonated with audiences, quickly becoming the fifth biggest hit of his career just six days post-release.

The romantic comedy-drama, directed by Karan Sharma, debuted with a solid Rs 7 crore on its opening Friday. Positive word-of-mouth and favorable reviews propelled its weekend earnings, which rose to Rs 9.5 crore on Saturday and peaked at Rs 11.5 crore on Sunday. Despite the typical weekday decline, Bhool Chuk Maaf maintained a steady performance with Rs 4.5 crore on Monday and Rs 4.79 crore on Tuesday, bringing its five-day net total in India to Rs 37.29 crore.

This impressive performance has allowed the film to surpass the lifetime earnings of Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, which totaled Rs 36.34 crore. Released last year, that cricket-themed romantic drama marked Rajkummar’s second collaboration with Janhvi Kapoor. While it opened to decent numbers, it struggled to maintain momentum at the box office. In contrast, Bhool Chuk Maaf has shown stronger sustainability, buoyed by its lighthearted narrative, relatable humor, and the fresh pairing of Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi.

With this success, Bhool Chuk Maaf now ranks as the fifth highest-grossing film of Rajkummar’s career. Leading his box office chart is Stree 2, which set records earlier this year with an astounding Rs 597.99 crore. Following closely are its predecessor, Stree (Rs 129.83 crore), Srikanth (Rs 48.07 crore), and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video (Rs 42.09 crore).

The film’s success underscores Rajkummar Rao’s consistent ability to attract audiences, especially when paired with compelling content. This also marks a significant achievement for Wamiqa Gabbi, who has been steadily making her mark in mainstream Bollywood after captivating audiences with her performances on OTT platforms.

As Bhool Chuk Maaf approaches the Rs 40 crore milestone, it will be intriguing to see how it performs in its second week, especially with the release of Jackie Chan’s Karata Kid. The Hindi version of this film has been dubbed by Ajay Devgn and his son Yug Devgn.
