ASIFA-Hollywood has partnered with key players in the animation industry—including filmmakers, artists, and industry colleagues—to provide vital support for over 60 families impacted by the devastating Palisades and Eaton fires.

Introducing AnimAID

Launched during ASIFA-Hollywood’s 52nd Annual Annie Awards, the AnimAID fundraising initiative aims to raise an ambitious $5,000,000 to assist those in need over the coming months.

“The outpouring of time, energy, and passion from so many volunteers has been truly inspiring,” remarked AnimAID Chairperson Sandra Rabins. “Our community thrives on collaboration—whether it’s creating joy for audiences worldwide or coming together to support our colleagues in times of crisis. The generosity we’ve witnessed from every corner of the industry is heartwarming, and through AnimAID, we intend to channel that goodwill to help those affected regain their footing.”

Industry Support

Numerous animation studios are rallying behind AnimAID, including:

    • DreamWorks Animation
    • Illumination & Illumination Studios Paris
    • Mikros Animation
    • Netflix
    • Paramount Animation & Nickelodeon Animation
    • Sony Pictures Animation & Sony Pictures Imageworks
    • Skydance Animation
    • The Walt Disney Company’s animation studios, including Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Disney Television Animation, 20th Television Animation, Marvel Animation, and Lucasfilm Animation

Upcoming Auction

This Spring, AnimAID will host an exciting auction in collaboration with Sotheby’s, featuring original artwork from animated films and television series. This event will be accessible to the public through an online portal, allowing everyone to participate.

“Art is the heartbeat of animation,” stated AnimAID Board Director Don Hahn. “Many may not realize that countless pieces of original art created during the production of animated features often remain unseen. We’re eager to delve into those archives to showcase this art—alongside new, original works from esteemed animation artists—to provide much-needed relief for those affected by the fires.”
