Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film, ‘Spirit’, featuring Prabhas, has been generating buzz following the departure of actress Deepika Padukone. In an exciting update, the director has officially announced the new female lead via his X (formerly Twitter) account.

Triptii Dimri has been confirmed as the leading lady. On May 24, Vanga shared the news with his followers, stating, “The female lead for my film is now official :-).” Triptii also took to Instagram to express her enthusiasm, writing, “Still sinking in…. 😍 So grateful to be trusted with this journey 🙏🏻 Thank you @sandeepreddy.vanga ..honoured to be a part of your vision.”

Background on Casting Changes

Initially, Deepika Padukone was in discussions for the role opposite Prabhas. However, a source from Bollywood Hungama indicated that her working conditions led to a fallout, as she reportedly declined to shoot for more than six hours a day.

Triptii’s Collaboration with Prabhas

‘Spirit’ will mark Triptii Dimri’s first on-screen collaboration with Prabhas and her second project with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, following their work on ‘Animal’. The film is anticipated to begin shooting in 2025.
