Butch Hartman Launches Butch Hartman Studios

 

This morning, Butch Hartman, the visionary behind beloved Nickelodeon hits like The Fairly Oddparents and Danny Phantom, announced the establishment of Butch Hartman Studios. This independent studio aims to produce and finance “uplifting, original faith-based and mainstream programming for kids and families.”

The full-service production studio boasts a talented team of over 40 animation professionals, including artists who have previously collaborated with Hartman. According to the company’s press release, the crew is “working from locations around the globe,” leaving some ambiguity regarding whether the studio has a physical headquarters or the proportion of the team working in-house. Notably, Hartman’s colleague, Taylor Bradbury, has been appointed as a senior producer at the studio.

Hartman’s Vision for Family Entertainment

 

In his statement, Hartman expressed:

 

 

“Our stories and shows are created and curated with families in mind. We’re collaborating with some of the best animators in the industry, many of whom I’ve partnered with on previous projects, to deliver an enriching experience suitable for children of all ages. Our mission is to provide safe entertainment where kids can be captivated, excited, and inspired to unleash their imaginations. My Christian faith has instilled in me the belief that, in a world filled with uncertainty, the significance of fun and empowering entertainment for kids has never been more crucial.”

 

Upcoming Projects and Productions

 

The studio’s first project will be the second season of The Garden Cartoon, which Hartman created and is being executive produced by his wife, Julieann Hartman, through Garden Productions. The first season is currently available on Angel Studios and other streaming platforms via distribution partner N Circle Entertainment. Additionally, several Garden Cartoon films, some aligned with Christian holidays, will be distributed by BMG-Global, known for family-friendly, faith-based films.

Development Slate Highlights

 

The studio’s development slate is privately funded and includes several exciting projects currently in active development:

 

• • Little Harp: A Guardian Angel school trains new recruits to assist children on Earth. (Ages 3-8)

 

• • Dragon Drive-Thru: Follow three little dragons managing a fast-food stand in a medieval town. (Ages 5-8)

 

• • Family Fusion: Can two super-science families coexist next door without wreaking havoc on the neighborhood? (Ages 6-11)
