Cannes, France – Tuesday, 14 May 2025 – Film Volt Group (UK/Canada) is proud to announce a major international co-production agreement with acclaimed director Eric T. Pham and his production banner Phame Factory for the upcoming Vietnamese eco-horror feature Ghost Harvest. The announcement comes ahead of the Cannes Film Festival 2025, where the project is making its global market debut.

The co-production partnership was brokered by international media consultants Media Eye Digital, based in Wales, UK.

Set in the poisoned rice fields of Vietnam, Ghost Harvest is a bold new botanical horror concept that blends ancient folklore with contemporary ecological themes. The film tells the story of a mother’s terrifying transformation into a human-plant hybrid as she battles to save her son from an ancient entity awakened by a corporate land project.

With 50% of its financing already secured from Vietnamese investors, Ghost Harvest is positioned for international breakout success. Film Volt Group joins the project as a key co-producing and international distribution partner, supporting financing, development, and global reach across Europe, North America, and beyond.

“This partnership aligns with Film Volt Group’s mission to champion globally diverse, visionary genre storytelling,” said Mark Busby, Founder of Film Volt Group. “Ghost Harvest delivers high-concept horror rooted in cultural authenticity, and Eric’s East-West creative sensibility makes this a one-of-a-kind film destined to resonate worldwide.”

Director Eric T. Pham, a seasoned VFX artist with credits including Sin City and collaborations with Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, brings two decades of Hollywood experience fused with his Vietnamese heritage to craft an unprecedented horror spectacle. Visually stunning elements include sentient rice fields forming human faces, bioluminescent “rice wombs,” and grotesque botanical-human metamorphoses.

Currently in pre-production and scheduled to begin principal photography in December 2025, Ghost Harvest will shoot on location in the Mekong Delta and Ho Chi Minh City studios. The film is expected to complete post-production by Q3 2026.

Distribution rights for Vietnam have been secured through local investment partners. Rights for the US, Europe, and the rest of Asia are now open to co-financing and distribution partners Via Film volt Group International
