Production Set to Begin for Road Trip Comedy ‘Saving Buddy Charles’
EXCLUSIVE: Get ready for a new buddy comedy! Writer and actor Jillian Shea Spaeder is gearing up to start production on Saving Buddy Charles this spring in Los Angeles. Directed by Grace Wethor, the film follows best friends Clara and Sydney, portrayed by Analesa Fisher (Metal Lords) and Spaeder (Walk the Prank), as they embark on a cross-country adventure to rescue a pet lizard. Unbeknownst to Sydney, Clara is facing a serious health challenge, with only six months to live without a heart transplant. The cast also includes Ariel Martin (Zombies 2) and digital content creator Ian Boggs. Spaeder is producing alongside David Lyons and Jeremy Walton of Moo Studios, and Tom George of Happy Hour Productions. Grierson Trust Welcomes New Trustees
The UK’s Grierson Trust has announced the appointment of six new trustees following an open call for board applications. The new members include editor and consultant Zeb Achonu; Derren Lawford, founder of Dare Pictures; Rick Murray, CEO of Workerbee Group; director Toby Trackman; Oli Harbottle, Chief Content Officer at indie film distributor Dogwoof; and Netflix production executive Jessica Ross. Achonu, Lawford, Murray, and Trackman will join the board this month, while Harbottle and Ross will take their positions in December, coinciding with the conclusion of terms for existing trustees Guy Davies and Rob Stapledon. The current board also includes Sreya Biswas, Louisa Compton, Harjeet Chhokar, Amali de Silva, Nelesh Dhand, Poppy Dixon, Tanya Motie, Donna Taberer, and Maxine Watson.
