Eccho Rights Secures Global Deals for Fantasy Series ‘Fallen’

The TV series is based on the New York Times best-selling Fallen novels by Lauren Kate, which have sold more than 11m copies worldwide.

Eccho Rights has announced a series of international distribution agreements for Fallen, an eight-part fantasy series created by Matt Hastings and Claudia Bluemhuber. These agreements cover significant markets in the US, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East.

The series has been acquired by Sundance Now in the US, Showcase and StackTV in Canada, Rai Play in Italy, France Télévisions, Sky, and ZDFneo in German-speaking regions, as well as TRT’s streaming platform Tabii in Turkey. Additional agreements include SVT in Sweden, Yle in Finland, TVNZ in New Zealand, Cosmote TV in Greece, and evision for platforms in the MENA region. Licensing deals have also been secured with BTV in Bulgaria and CineStar TV, which covers Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo, and Albania.

Produced by Silver Reel in collaboration with Night Train Media, Fallen is adapted from Lauren Kate’s New York Times best-selling novels, which have sold over 11 million copies globally. The series was co-commissioned by Globoplay in Brazil.

RaiPlay, which launched the series in December 2024, reported that ‘The series Fallen on RaiPlay was one of the most-watched international series on the platform, with over 680,000 hours of viewing time and more than 1.6 million streams in the first month of availability, successfully engaging a younger audience, with over 40% of viewers under 45.’
