Xilam Animation Extends Partnership with Sony Pictures Networks India for ‘Oggy and the Cockroaches’

French animation studio Xilam Animation has renewed its collaboration with Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) for the popular comedy franchise Oggy and the Cockroaches. This renewed agreement encompasses all seasons of the series for SPNI’s children’s channel, Sony YAY!, as well as the franchise’s feature film, Oggy and the Cockroaches: The Movie, and the newly rebooted series, Oggy and the Cockroaches: Next Generation. In total, the partnership covers 423 episodes.

Sony YAY! serves as the master licensee for merchandising rights for the franchise in India and has secured its first agreement with Navneet for a variety of stationery products, including notebooks, drawing books, stationery sets, art kits, and writing pads. An extensive marketing campaign, featuring “The Giant Wheel Festival,” has been launched alongside a mobile app that enables users to join Oggy in battling cockroaches.
