The Al Ghuwayriyah Certification Achieved by Es’hailSat

Es’hailSat has successfully obtained Tier 4 certification for its Al Ghuwayriyah Teleport located in Doha, Qatar, through the World Teleport Association’s (WTA) Teleport Certification Programme. This certification represents the 69th issuance since the programme’s launch at IBC 2015, with an additional five teleports currently undergoing quality assessments.

The WTA’s Teleport Certification Programme establishes clear, independently verified standards that enable teleports to distinguish themselves and assist customers in selecting the appropriate price-performance ratio for their needs. The certification was granted following a comprehensive audit conducted by a WTA Auditor, who validated the information provided in a detailed questionnaire against the standards set by the WTA’s Certification Committee. The full WTA Certification is categorized into tiers ranging from 1 to 4, with Tier 4 signifying the highest level of excellence, valid for three years.

Previous certifications have been awarded to various teleports operated by companies such as IABG Teleport, A1 Telekom Austria Group, Hispasat, and many others across the globe.

Ali Al Kuwari, President & CEO of Es’hailSat, expressed pride in achieving the Tier 4 certification, stating, “Es’hailSat is proud to achieve Tier 4 certification of our state-of-the-art Teleport facility in Doha. It underscores the high quality of service that we have been providing our customers from across the Middle East and North Africa region, whether in broadcasting or data connectivity. This certification is a testament to the dedication of our entire team, and we are truly delighted.”

Robert Bell, executive director of WTA, added, “WTA has now certified six teleports across the Middle East, all at our highest Tier 4 level. The region is becoming a key growth area for the commercial satellite industry, and WTA-Certified teleports are prepared to meet the rapidly increasing demand for greater bandwidth.”
